Run, Sip and Savor is the slogan of the 41st annual Kaiser Permanente Napa Valley Marathon coming up on March 3rd. And this year there is a new half marathon event which offers more options to runners of all levels. Registration is now open and fills quickly. Sign up here so you don’t miss out.
The race course follows the historic Silverado Trail south from Calistoga at the northern end of the Napa Valley to the town of Napa. The marathon begins at the junction of the Silverado Trail and Rosedale Road near the Solage Calistoga resort while the half marathon starts at Conn Creek Winery in St. Helena. Both races finish at Vintage High School in Napa. Race headquarters is the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa, where a Sports and Fitness Expo will be held. Registration and Packet pick-up will be Saturday, March 2nd at the Sports and Fitness Expo.
Finish line amenities include hot soup and bread, massage, gear pick-up, showers and physical therapy in addition to water and medical support.
The Napa Valley Marathon is a member of the Road Runners Club of America and Running USA, the largest and most influential running-related organizations in the world.
The Greater Kiwanis Club of Napa offers a 5K run in conjunction with the Napa Valley Marathon on Sunday, March 3, 2019. The run begins at Vintage High School at 8 a.m. and ends at the marathon finish line before the first marathoners arrive.
If you can’t run the race but wish to support fire recovery efforts, this year you have the opportunity to become a virtual runner. All virtual 2018 Napa Valley Marathon runners will receive a shirt and medal—and $75 of the $100 registration fee will be donated to the North Bay Fire Relief Fund.
