East Bay Regional Park District 2021 Trails Challenge

August 1, 2021 - December 21, 2021—All Day

This is the perfect year to join the East Bay Regional Park District’s Trails Challenge, an annual self-guided hiking and biking program sponsored by Kaiser Permanente. Every year more than 10,000 people participate in this free program to explore the East Bay regional parks. Participants receive a guidebook and Trails Challenge 2021 T-shirt, available from your local Visitor Center.

To complete the challenge, participants must hike five of the 20 trails or 26.2 miles of trails within the East Bay Regional Park District and submit their log online or by mail by December 21, 2021. Commemorative pins will be available while supplies last.

All 20 trails can be found on the All Trails app, available from All Trails.com. Download the app and go to EBRPD Trails Challenge 2021 to get started. After you’ve signed up and logged in, click on “Copy to my lists,” followed by “Continue in App” and the featured trails will show up under “Plan.”

You can also download the guidebook and individual trail maps and keep track of your hikes on a log form, which you can mail in or submit online.

Pick up your Trails Challenge T-shirt and guidebook at your local Visitor Center and get started!
