This fall, San Francisco welcomes back Flower Piano, one of the most unique, creative, and innovative outdoor events in the Bay Area. Now held over a long weekend in September, Flower Piano is a four-day celebration of live music and nature that transforms the San Francisco Botanical Garden into the city’s own alfresco concert hall where everyone is invited to play and listen.

The interactive festival, a partnership between Sunset Piano and the San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park with Kaiser Permanente San Francisco as a sponsor, features an array of musical performances by renowned local and international artists on twelve pianos scattered throughout the 55-acre gardens. When not in use for scheduled events, the pianos are available for the public to play between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

There are also family-friendly events such as story times and the new evening-time Flower Piano at Sunset, a community sing-along, free piano lessons, and Sunday morning yoga in the garden with Kaiser Permanente.

Admission to Flower Piano is free following regular admission to the Garden (free for members and San Francisco residents with proof of residency, $8 for non-resident adults).
