November 6, 2019 - January 20, 2020—10:00 am to 11:30 pm
Union Square Ice Rink, San Francisco, California

It’s that time of the year again – time to enjoy some holiday fun gliding on the Union Square ice rink in downtown San Francisco.  Now in its 12th year, the festive Holiday Ice Rink at Union Square will open for the season on November 6, 2019 and stay open until January 20, 2020.

A fun and refreshing seasonal activity for people of all ages, ice skating is excellent for health and fitness as well!

Kaiser Permanente invites skaters with little to no experience to come learn from professional skate instructors every Saturday and Sunday morning, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Advance sign-up for lessons is required. Lessons are followed by a free half-hour skating session to practice your new skills.

The Holiday Ice Rink also offers a full season of special events including favorites such as Flashback Fridays, Drag Queens on Ice, Polar Bear Skate, and Silent Skate Party. Check the Union Square Holiday Ice Rink website for more information.

And don’t forget to track your calories as you get fit this season at the Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square.  The Kaiser Permanente Skate-o-Meter is a fun way to track the calories you burn as you skate around the rink.

Available through iTunes and GooglePlay app stores, the skate-o-meter also features a “virtual queue” that gives ice rink patrons the freedom to explore Union Square’s shopping and attractions while waiting for their turn to skate.

Group discounts are available Mondays-Thursdays, and on select Mondays and Tuesdays the rink can be rented for private events.
