April 6, 2015 - May 31, 2015—8:00 am to 7:00 pm

Put on your walking shoes, challenge your family, neighbors and colleagues and get moving for this 8-week San Francisco Walking Challenge.  Get a team together and record your physical activity over the course of April 6 to May 31st.  The goal is for your team’s collective total to add up to 1,016 miles.  That’s the equivalent of the entire California coastline! Any kind of physical activity counts towards your team’s goal.  So if your movement can’t be calculated by miles, just use the formula that 20 minutes of moderate activity (i.e. gardening, biking, swimming, dancing,) is equivalent to a mile.
