Mexican food is naturally healthy, but there are ways to make tacos both more delicious and more nutritious. Learn how to prepare a fun and healthy taco bar by attending the next online class from the Thrive Kitchen, a hands-on, healthy cooking program offered by Kaiser Permanente.
In these virtual classes led by Linda Shiue, MD, KPSF internist and professionally trained chef, you’ll learn how to make healthy, delicious, and seasonal dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world.
Classes begin with an orientation at 6:15 p.m. and run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. They are free for Kaiser Permanente members and $20 for non-members.
Registration is required. Sign up at any time for the classes offered in 2021 by calling the Health Education Department, 415-833-3450, or emailing SFHealthEd@kp.org. Visit the Lifestyle Medicine Site for more information and cooking videos to learn the basics of healthy cooking.
