Mexican food is naturally healthy, but there are ways to make tacos both more delicious and more nutritious. Learn how to prepare a fun and healthy taco bar by attending the next class at the Thrive Kitchen, a hands-on, healthy cooking program offered by Kaiser Permanente.
Linda Shiue, MD, KPSF internist and professionally trained chef, teaches monthly classes the first Wednesday of each month, which are open to anyone interested in learning to cook delicious, healthy food inspired by cuisines from around the world.
Classes are offered at the Kaiser Permanente Mission Bay Medical Offices, 1600 Owens Street. The cost per session, which includes sampling the recipes and a nutrition Q&A, is just $30 for Kaiser Permanente members and $40 for the general public.
Registration is available beginning a month prior to class. Call 415-833-3450 or email SFHealthEd@kp.org.
