Come join us for a special Thrive Kitchen Virtual Event: Cooking and Nutrition for Cancer Prevention. Dr. Linda Shiue, MD, Director of Culinary Medicine at Kaiser Permanente, and oncology registered dietician Eunice Wong will show you how to cook your way to better health, with recipes featuring foods rich in immune-boosting antioxidants and phytonutrients.
This class will cover healthy eating with a cancer prevention focus and feature a cooking demo. Participants are encouraged to cook along with the class! You will also have a chance to have your nutrition questions answered by the experts.
The Thrive Kitchen offers monthly virtual cooking classes open to anyone interested in learning to cook delicious, healthy food inspired by cuisines from around the world. Classes are taught by Linda Shiue, MD, chef, KPSF internist and Director of Culinary Medicine, who combines her medical expertise with experience as an award-winning chef to design menus that are as delicious as they are healthy. The cooking for cancer prevention class is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., but most classes are held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
