Get Ready for the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K with a Course Preview Run
Anytime you’re planning to run a half marathon, 5K or other race, previewing the course is a good idea if you have the opportunity. Experiencing the course of a race helps you know what to expect, identify and plan for challenges, and figure out a strategy that will take advantage of your strengths. It’s also a chance to work out any kinks, such as figuring out a route to the race start, parking, and other issues.
Runners getting ready to run the Kaiser Permanente Half Marathon, 10K and 5K in February are invited to a 5-mile course preview on Sunday, January 3rd from 10 to 11 a.m. Meet at the Golden Gate Park Chalet, 1000 Great Highway for the start.
Experts from A Runner’s Mind San Francisco will be available at the event, along with some of the race vendors.
Parking is available in Golden Gate Park or in the Ocean Beach lot across from Park Chalet. The Park Chalet lot is for patrons only.
